What's New in MineSched 9.0

MineSched 9.0 is installed and run as a standalone application. That is, you do not need to install or run GEOVIA Surpac to run MineSched 9.0.

MineSched 9.0 is available as a 32-bit application and as a 64-bit application. The 64-bit version of MineSched 9.0 allows you to use significantly more of the memory available on your computer during processing.

The changes required to allow MineSched to run as a standalone application have significant impact on many areas of the application. For example:

  • the installation process has changed
  • licensing is now handled within MineSched
  • new menu items are available to launch new scenarios and to open existing scenarios

One reason to develop MineSched 9.0 as a standalone application was to make it possible to import and reference data from a greater variety of sources. In MineSched 9.0, additional file formats are available when you:

  • define your geology
  • define your development headings
  • reference solids and surfaces as mining or fill locations, or as location constraints
  • publish results

Significant enhancements to haulage have been made in MineSched 9.0. Haulage is now contained within its own tab, under Setup Schedule > Material Flow, in the location previously occupied by the Movement tab. You use the Haulage tab to:

  • import haulage geometry
  • define haulage routes
  • specify haulage velocities

In addition a new Haulage Results tab has been added under Publish Results, in which you can view and export the haulage results for the schedule.

Finally, the MineSched 9.0 help system has undergone significant changes and is now delivered as a locally installed webHelp system.
